Parvati in Sivagami pose (in attendence on Shiva). Late Chola or early Vijaynagar. Parvati standing in elegant tribhanga pose on a circular lotus base atop a stepped plinth, her right arm raised and her left arm echoing her curvaceous figure. She is clad in a long, body clinginig dhoti with a pendant sash secured with a belt, wearing bracelets and other jewelry, the hair arranged in a high headdress. Highly elegant example in perfect saptatala (seven part proportions) with exquisite tribhanga body shape, fine detailing.
